Fakhera Ahmed Mubarak Al Kindi
Fakhera Ahmed Mubarak Al Kindi is a Senior Curatorial Assistant at Louvre Abu Dhabi Museum, where she’s working on the acquisition, research, documentation, display, and dissemination of the museum’s Middle Ages collection since its opening. She also oversees the display of the permanent galleries and temporary exhibitions. She served as curatorial assistant for Roads of Arabia with the Saudi National Commission for Culture and Heritage (2018), Furusiyya: The Art of Chivalry, between East and West with the French National Museum for the Middle Ages – Cluny (2020), conducted research for Kalila wa Dimna, Fables from East to West with the National Library of France, and project-managed Cartier and the Islamic Arts with Musée des Arts Décoratifs, Musée du Louvre, and Cartier (2023).
Fakhera holds an MA in Art History and Museum Studies (2017) and is an alumna of NYFA and CSM-UAL. She has undertaken professional trainings at Musée Rodin and the Department of Culture and Tourism Abu Dhabi in collections care and research, exhibition conception, visitor studies, marketing, programming, and publications. She is currently pursuing a PhD in Islamic Arts and History.
