Louvre Abu Dhabi's education programmes and resources are based on participatory and experiential learning that are rooted in history, the cultural connections, the stories, interpretation, and critical thinking by applying curriculum integration through teaching subjects into learning at the museum.

Learning Outcomes:
  • Understand UAE history and strengthen national identity and help students understand national legacy through the preservation and sustaining of culture.
  • Expand learning beyond the classroom by linking the museum to curriculum.
  • Advocate active learning through art exploration, storytelling and creativity.
  • Understand the museum's collection, exhibitions, and architecture.
  • Understand the value of cultural connections across communities and geographies.

    Daily School Programs and Activities

    Led by our museum education staff, students experience the museum through engaging in-gallery activities and by following different cycle-based routes in assigned key gallery areas to explore the artworks. Through interpretation and storytelling, students learn about cultural connections and the exchange of ideas, gaining an understanding of the value of national legacy and the preservation and conservation of cultural heritage.

    Exhibition Visits

    Post-Impressionism: Beyond Appearances
    Students explore where Post-Impressionism began and how it changed the course of art history. Post-Impressionist artists’ new and creative artworks made a big impact, leading to many different innovative future art styles.
